Lucas Gutierrez is an Argentinean industrial designer and digital artist who has experimented in a variety of mediums, such as audiovisual performances, and video art projects that explore the new paradigms in digital culture. He is deeply immersed in the remix culture, mixing influences from various contexts, such as post-work anthropology and abstract quotes from 3D modeling for industrial design and real-time AV sessions. In his narrative, he frequently alludes to present societal anxieties and dystopias, through the vocabulary of vibrant, erratic metaphysics.
Within the last years, Lucas had numerous lectures, talks, performances, and exhibitions at The New Infinity | Berliner Festspiele | Immersion, XS Gallery (Poland), Aperto Raum and CTM / Transmediale (Berlin, Germany), Sonar+D and MUTEK (Argentina/Mexico), ZKM – Zentrum für Kunst und Medien Karlsruhe, NYU Berlin/Tokyo, at UdK – Universität der Künste Berlin and Kunsthochschule Weißensee in the fields of real-time visualization, spatial motion graphics, and visuals.
